Aside from the many design options that Martin Door offers, there are also several insulation options. Doors come without insulation, or an optional Series 1 or Series 2 insulation package. (Refer to below) . You get all the same safety features, quality features, and warranty regardless the door insulation that you prefer.

Insulation will

  • Help keep out the weather
  • Help shield sun exposure
  • Quiet the doors' operation
  • Make the door more attractive on the inside

Note:Insulation does not help any door when it comes to resisting dents. Dent resistance relies solely on the tensile strength and thickness of the steel. And the Martin steel sectional door uses 24-gauge, high- tensile steel.

Advantages of a non-insulated door: Same quality and features as the standard Martin door at a more affordable price
Advantages of a Series 1 insulated door: Clean interior, quiet operation, 2" thick polystyrene insulation with an r-8 insulation value, and 30-gauge steel backing.
Advantages of a Series 2 insulated door: Clean interior, quiet operation, 2" thick polystyrene insulation with an r-8 insulation value, and a heavier 26-gauge continuous steel backing.
